Nourished Landscapes · Jimboomba, QLD
Permaculture property designer helping people turn their land — big or small — into a productive, resilient, beautiful landscape.
Founder of Nourished Landscapes — I design permaculture properties, from backyard food gardens to multi-acre regenerative masterplans.
My main work is property design: I visit or assess your land, then create a custom permaculture masterplan — water systems, food forests, garden zones, and a clear phased plan to bring it all to life.
Alongside design, I offer pre-purchase property assessments, hands-on installation, and ongoing mentorship — plus workshops and coaching for anyone who wants to learn the skills themselves.
Whether you've got a suburban backyard or a multi-acre block, I design the layout, systems, and planting plan that turns it into a productive, resilient landscape — then help you build it.
A complete, custom permaculture design for your land — water harvesting, food forests, garden zones, and a phased roadmap to bring it to life. This is the heart of what I do.
Begin Your Masterplan →Considering land? I'll assess its soil, water, and microclimate potential before you buy — so you know exactly what you're getting and what it's capable of.
Enquire Now →Not ready for a full masterplan? Book a call or a site visit for expert guidance on your specific design questions and next steps.
Book a Call →Turn an ordinary backyard into a productive edible landscape — food forests, garden beds, and water-wise design that fits a standard block.
Make the most of a larger property — paddocks, water harvesting, orchards, and zoning designed for how you actually use the land.
Planning for greater self-sufficiency — a design that supports food production, water security, and long-term resilience.
My Journey
A life shaped by gardens, community, and an unshakeable belief that food is medicine — and growing it is joy.
Early Childhood · East Germany
I grew up in a small village south of Berlin in former communist East Germany, where keeping a food garden was everyday life. From an early age I claimed a quarter of my parents' 1,000 sqm property — a thriving food garden with medicinal flowers woven among the vegetables and crops.
Teenage Years · Saxdorf
I volunteered at the locally renowned Saxdorfer Pfarrgarten — a celebrated historic garden where I deepened my plant knowledge and mastered traditional garden techniques, gaining an appreciation for the living relationship between people and place.
Formal Education
I pursued formal education in Environmental Monitoring of Soil and Water, earned a Bachelor of Horticulture, and completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment — alongside many additional specialist courses.
2016 – Present · Jimboomba, QLD
Since March 2016 I've been transforming five bare acres in Jimboomba into a Land for Wildlife property — implementing permaculture design while running a full business, and sharing every hard-won lesson through workshops and consultations.

Training & Assessment
Nourished Homestead is where every design idea I offer clients gets tested first — from bare paddocks to a sustainable, food-producing, disaster-prepared property.
Nourished Homestead is a 5-acre Land for Wildlife property in Jimboomba — an area known as a "rain shadow", receiving far less annual rainfall than greater Brisbane. It's where my own permaculture design journey began, and it's still where I trial and refine every system before recommending it to a client.
Since I moved in March 2016, an abundance of native trees and shrubs has taken root. I've built perennial growing systems, water-harvesting earthworks, a zero-waste nursery and worm farm, a grey-water garden, and wicking beds. I also raise ducks, geese, turkeys, chickens and pigs on-site, use hot and cold smokers, and keep native and European honeybee hives.
Different regenerative planning and management techniques are applied throughout — proof that these designs hold up in the real world, not just on paper.
What I've Built
Each element adds another layer of resilience. There is always a project in the works.

Adds delicious cold smoke flavour to cheese, eggs, spices and meat without cooking them.

Catches irrigation water and houses 6 bathtub worm farms, closing the loop on nutrients and water.

A multi-level fruit tree forest designed to produce abundant food with minimal ongoing inputs.

Fruit trees, fodder, bananas and edible support plants grown in syntropic agroforestry succession.

Low-maintenance vegetable production using a layered soil-building mulch method.

A tiny-house inspired timber cabin nestled among the trees — accommodation for interns and visitors.

Right next to my events area where I hold monthly workshops. Powered by wood, not the grid.

A double barrel smoker for hot smoking meats and produce harvested right on the homestead.

Ducks, geese, guinea fowl and sheep — and from time to time pigs and broilers — raised with care.

An efficient, low-cost system transferring heat to a thermal mass that radiates warmth slowly with minimal emissions.

15 self-watering raised garden beds built from IBCs, keeping roots perfectly moist with minimal water.

Mounds built over decomposing wood — a self-fertilising, water-retaining system for perennial edibles.

Half the property managed through rotational grazing — mimicking natural herd movement to restore soil health.
